I wished

FOR YOU

If only you had given me more time

But all you gave me was a flicker

Just a moment in time

A grain of sand

In the vast landscape of time

We are here for just

A heartbeat and then

A heartbeat

Our heartbeats go on and on but

Our lives are over in a moment that

Seem as though it was a lifetime

But when you look back on all the years

On all the tears

All the smiles and all the laughs

And think how it has all slipped away

It seems as it was just yesterday

You were reaching up for your mothers hand

No regrets

I don’t believe in them

But if I let you go I will have one regret in this lifetime

You have made an impact on my soul

You have moved me in ways that were soul altering

I can’t force you to feel what I feel

To know what I know

You have to take that journey on your own

All I can do is try and light your way

Stand firm in my belief and my knowing

Be a beacon of light for you in this dark and ugly world

And call upon my angels and my higher self
